Haven
“Feeling” is a word that refers simultaneously to process and to outcome.
For me, looking at nature is no different from entering a church or a temple. It is a space where external reality and inner experience converge into what I call beauty. It is steady, maintaining an open and recognizable clarity that invites one to lay down one’s thoughts with ease. It is also in flux—like the shifting of clouds and the surge of tides—allowing one to release emotions and let imagination emerge.
I paint in an attempt to preserve a fragment of what I perceive within that space.
