Project description
This artwork is a unique Taiwanese artistic language, merging classical Chinese ink wash with a vibrant, modern aesthetic.
I use dense black ink for the traditional night sky, then boldly contrast it by illuminating the city with high-chroma neon colors on the densely packed Chinese signboards. This creates a compelling visual conflict between tradition and contemporary street life.
The bustling night market in the foreground represents the genuine warmth of the common people.
Taipei 101 in the background, with its structure based on the auspicious number eight, symbolizes Taiwan's modern ambition.
These elements are not separate but tightly interwoven, proclaiming Taiwan's inclusive, vibrant, and resilient cultural power.
