Project description

This poster was conceived as a personal design project, inspired by the children’s book “The Old Captain’s Puppets”. It serves as a visual interpretation of the emotional depth and narrative themes I encountered through reading, translating those impressions into a cohesive visual composition.

A forgotten group of puppets are brought home by an old sea captain and begin a new journey. During a theater performance, the puppets reveal a long-lost story of love from the captain’s past.

While the original children’s book is accompanied by beautiful hand-drawn illustrations, I wanted to explore an alternative visual language to reinterpret the story—blending handcrafted aesthetics with contemporary digital tools to express its timeless charm.
