Project description
This project reimagines the traditional market hall as a flexible public space shaped by structure, movement, and community. A branching structural system expands across the interior like a canopy, creating an open environment where individual market stalls can exist without being confined by rigid walls. The stalls are arranged around the structure to create multiple paths through the building, encouraging visitors to wander, gather, and experience the market from different directions. Rather than separating architecture and program, the structure becomes part of the spatial experience itself, organizing circulation, framing vendors, and giving the market a recognizable identity. The result is a contemporary market hall that balances the everyday activity of buying and selling with a more expressive architectural experience.
