Project description
This work is a color narrative of my homeland—Taiwan.
The traditional Bajiajiang mask shows cobalt ripples, set against the amber mane of the dragon–lion dance. Orange sky lanterns rise into the night and cast warm wishes toward Taipei 101, Taiwan’s landmark skyscraper.
My brush pauses at the eye so that ritual linework meets the urban skyline in a single stroke—from temple courtyards to skyscrapers, from ceremony to daily life.
Blue carries the island’s depth and memory; gold carries festive energy and human warmth. Woven together, they transform tradition and modernity into a cultural fusion. This face is still being painted—so are identity and culture: they breathe, meet, and keep growing through difference.
