Project description
While sharing similar material foundations, glass and stone develop contrasting appearances and characteristics through different formation processes. Through the combination of these two materials, the work explores the dialogue between softness and rigidity, lightness and weight, transparency and solidity.
The glass can be lifted from its base and placed back again, transforming the act of drinking into a rhythmic ritual.
The bases are crafted from three types of stone native to Taiwan, including serpentinite, black marble, and white marble, preserving their natural textures and qualities while forming a resting point for the glass.
