Project description
Designed for group games and playful interactions, FIZZ TRAP turns a familiar drinking action into a moment of anticipation, surprise, and shared laughter. FIZZ TRAP transforms the physical reaction between carbonated beverages and Mentos into an unpredictable and playful social experience.
The cup features a modular storage system divided into individual compartments, each capable of holding up to three Mentos. A silicone cross-valve mechanism connects the compartments to the straw, with the insertion of the straw triggering the reaction.
The product is designed around the contrast between knowledge and uncertainty. The person preparing the cup knows where and how many Mentos have been placed, while the person drinking remains unaware of what is hidden beneath the lid. With each insertion of the straw, the outcome may be an ordinary drink—or an unexpected "eruption" !
