Project description

Sheet metal houses serve as a iconic visual symbol of local memory within Taiwan’s urban landscape. As time passes, these structures have gradually merged into the fabric of daily life, becoming a familiar yet overlooked presence.

Centered around the metaphor of "building blocks," this artwork depicts the protagonist immersed in the act of stacking. This process parallels the quiet sprawl of unauthorized architecture in modern cities, while mirroring the underlying structural instability and safety risks. Through the stark contrast between micro-level play and macro-level landscape, the piece prompts viewers to re-examine and cherish their surrounding living environment.
