The Rabbit‘s Plea:
Once, I hopped freely in a garden of daisies.
Now, someone has tagged a number to my name, as if love could be sold.
When they took my cottony fur, they forgot I still had heartbeats.
Please, let me keep my coat and my soul — it’s the only one I’ve ever had.
