Project description

I came here alone to paint.

In the morning, Fa-Tzu River lay quiet before me.

The gravel path sparkled under the sunlight,

and I followed it all the way down.

I walked until I found the right place—

the right light,

the right temperature,

the right mood for today.

I sat down.

Clouds drifted slowly across the surface of the water.

The wind blew from deep within the trees,

and the river flowed gently past.

I carried all these sensations

and painted them into memory,

one stroke at a time.
