Auspicious Encounters in Gold is a four-piece lacquer painting series that celebrates the timeless blessings embodied by the dragon and the phoenix, two enduring symbols of auspiciousness, prosperity, and harmony in Eastern culture. Rooted in the traditions of lacquer art, the series incorporates natural lacquer, pure gold powder, and gold leaf while embracing contemporary painting techniques beyond conventional lacquer practices. This fusion creates a distinctive visual language that bridges cultural heritage with artistic innovation. Through the dynamic vitality of soaring dragons and graceful phoenixes, the artist expresses enduring wishes for peace, well-being, flourishing life, and a prosperous future. Each work embodies symbolic meanings of safety, abundance, auspiciousness, fulfillment, and hope, transforming the paintings into vessels of blessing and emotional comfort.
