Project description
In the image, a treasure chest tightly bound by chains proclaims the captivity of the “self.” The emerald-green thorny plants and brilliant flowers are not a hymn to life here, but instead transform into exquisite instruments of torture that tightly bind both the hands and the soul. Through the stark contrast of black-and-white lines and the fragmented sense of a shattered puzzle, I have constructed an inner world filled with repression and contradiction, guiding the viewer to reflect: while pursuing the beauty defined by the secular world, are we not personally locking ourselves into the prison of the soul?
