Project description

Eyedrops transform the familiar action of applying eye drops into a surreal ecosystem.

At the top of the artwork, two birds carry a flower above a giant eye. Instead of a traditional eye-drop bottle, water falls from the flower directly into the eye, turning something artificial and medical into something organic and alive. The flower becomes a natural source of relief, suggesting a connection between nature, healing, and the human body.

The safety pin attached to the lower eyelid exaggerates the way we force our eyes open when applying eye drops. By turning this small everyday action into something physical and slightly uncomfortable, the work makes the viewer more aware of an experience that is normally ignored.

The contrast between the black-and-white surroundings and the colorful flowers emphasizes the moment of contact. As the “eyedrop” enters the eye, color and life gather around it, creating a visual relationship between relief and renewal.

Ultimately, Eyedrops takes a simple everyday behavior and reimagines it through surrealism
