Project description
Designer Dr. Sophie Colline is of French nationality and holds a DNSEP diploma from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Bourges, France. She is a contemporary artist and designer specializing in product design for textile material modeling applications. After being invited by Feng Chia University in 2010 to serve as the convener of the Creative Design Credit Program, the Acting Director of the Master of Creative Design Program, and an Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management.
This invention has been patented. It is a wrinkled facade high heel comprising a shoe body. The perimeter of the instep is decorated with French piping. Furthermore, a strap is located at the front of the instep, securing a folded section.
It was named after Louis XIV because he promoted the neckerchief as a formal fashion accessory. He not only required his courtiers to wear it at Versailles, but also officially named it "cravate". The overall pleated facade of this work, featuring high heels, reflects the style of pleated neckerchiefs commonly worn by the French royal family and nobility in the 17th century. The heel features a forged surface structure reminiscent of the embroidered high heels of King Louis XIV of France, creating a three-dimensional effect and a prominent visual impact, thus enhancing the interplay of materials. This shoe emphasizes the use of environmentally friendly materials. The entire upper is handmade from sheepskin or cowhide. Its advantages include comfortable walking , multi-hued and suitability for both work and casual wear.
