Project description
In this canvas, a woman stands still, her gaze direct and somber, as if she's seen everything and can no longer look away. She holds in her arms a limp body, a bright pink that seems both alive and dead at the same time, marked by a red stitching on the belly. Behind her, almost hidden, is a child with small white wings, who watches silently, without intervening.
No gesture of caress or consolation: only the weight of what the woman carries and the silence that spreads around her. It's a scene stripped of the promise of redemption, leaving only the raw bond between those who remain and what can never return. It's the moment when love, though defeated, refuses to lay down its burden.
