Project description
This mixed media painting effectively uses a minimal visual language to express the psychological journey from confinement toward rebirth. The monochromatic blue palette is particularly successful, creating a contemplative atmosphere that feels both melancholic and serene, and the subtle presence of light across the waterline reinforces the idea of hope emerging. The composition’s vertical format strengthens the conceptual contrast between ascent and submersion, allowing the imagery to read as both symbolic and introspective. Further refinement in the transition between the reflected wings and the cracked lower surface could enhance visual cohesion and make the transformation from rupture to rebirth feel even more seamless.
