Project description
The eyes of liberation explores growth, spreading, and liberration though a sprig of lily of the valley with an eye grows from an old dictionary, a symbol of fixed definitions. The flower tries to grow , and the eye explores the world, attempting to break free from what has already been defined. The dictionary represents the perceptions and rules that shape how we understand society.Mixing human and non-human elements is a common part of my artistic language. The eye isn't just a symbol of ongoing exploration, but also reflects my own journey as an art student, still exploring and finding my own way.
