Project description
This film tells the story of two souls coexisting within a single body. Their personalities and perspectives on a single event are worlds apart, leading to a fierce struggle for control over the body they share. The inspiration for this story came from a friend who once told me that after truly getting to know me, I felt like a completely different person—that my actual personality and daily demeanor were the exact opposite of how I appeared before we became close. This sparked my imagination, leading me to visualize myself as having two distinct personalities living inside one body, constantly fighting for dominance.
To highlight the stark contrast between these two personas, I utilized distinct warm and cool color grading during post-production. Additionally, during filming, the protagonist’s switch between wearing and not wearing glasses serves as a visual marker to distinguish the two. Mirrors are employed as a central medium to accentuate the conflict between their opposing stances. The shoot took place in cluttered spaces to visually manifest the protagonist's inner chaos. Furthermore, the Chinese typography elements against the black background were intentionally designed with missing strokes and distorted fonts, allowing the audience to visceral feel the conflict and bewilderment trapping the protagonist's mind.
